What do you think The Dirt Whispered is about? I always imagined a child waiting for her dad to come marching home from the war, listening for the marching in the ground but I’m sure that’s not what was intended
I also thought it was about a child waiting for their dad to come home. Not sure if it’s a soldier or some other person that’s working on the road or overseas or what. But yours is an excellent interpretation, IMO.
