I wish I could get my shingles vax. I fall into this stupid age range where I was born and caught chicken pox before its vaccination existed, but I’m still “too young” to receive the shingles vaccination. Never mind that I’ve seen younger people than me experience shingles, and that shit’s no joke. I’d get the vaccine in a heartbeat if it were possible.
Alas, I’ll just have to hope I don’t spontaneously develop it within the next 12 or so years.
my pharmacy charges $100 for a shot of shingle vaccine (if it’s not covered by insurance). i can think of few better public investments than vaccination.

You might be able to talk your medical professional into getting it for you regardless. Worth a try.
