The only note I think can lead to an outlook like this is the feeling that if someone has never made bad mistakes (eg, developing an addiction, falling in with a bad crowd) they don’t develop an interesting story. I could imagine being a woman and meeting a lukewarm balding guy who says “I’ve responsibly maintained my 401k and am ready to consider children” and just feeling uninspired.
So people at least need some vein of uniqueness to their existence.
I would think there are plenty of women interested in such a man at this point.
