Here in Germany the conservative rulers and their minions recently demanded for “doctor’s notice on first day” paired with a ban on notices through phone or video. They did so right after talking about how we “need to work more to secure ‘our’ wealth”. It’s so blatant it hurts.
Of course literally everyone hated that except companies led by soulless, mindless career managers who treat humans as mere annoying resources. And of course right-wingers who don’t care for humans anyway.
