Yes, apparently there’s a new cosmetic surgery technique called deep lift. And this is the result.

Looking at before and after images of this procedure and it looks pretty freaking incredible to be honest with you. Expensive af though.

It’s really hard to parse these sorts of things. All of these before and after shots for any of these procedures are done by the people advertising them to you. Of course they are going to pick and choose things that work out well. Would be nice if there was a less biased way to research these sorts of things tbh. Interesting technique, though.

Yeah, I had the same conclusion. Images will undoubtedly be promotional for these things. Very biased. But for successful surgeries, very nice results. Some patients seemingly age backwards 20 years. Insane.

It looks less upsetting than other facial surgeries I’ve seen, but there is still an amuse bouche of uncanniness to it. And with the uncanny valley, less is literally more. Ymmv

I’m guessing before and after images will usually show success stories only, eh. Because those looked great. Would like to see a relatively botched example.

I’m not that squeamish, I’ve seen the Substance for example. We probably grew up on the same internet. It’s just a headspace thing right now, I need to keep it cute today.

The Substance wasn’t exactly bad in that regard. Yeah we probably did. 😅 Lots of gore videos in the early internet. But I respect your headspace.

I’m fine with gore, e.g., but I still really dislike needles. 😆
