minus-squaredohpaz42@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up66·22 hours agoThat reminds me of how Will Smith turned down Neo in The Matrix because he thought Wild Wild West was the safer bet.
minus-squareAEsheron@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·13 minutes agoHonestly though, I agree with him. WWW definitely is the safer bet on paper. But safer doesn’t mean foolproof, and the risky ventures sometimes are the most profitable. Making the worse move doesn’t necessarily mean you made the incorrect one.
minus-squareBlackmist@feddit.uklinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·3 hours agoYeah, but in the third act he got to fight a giant spider. Do you know anything about spiders? They’re the fiercest killers in the insect kingdom.
minus-squarePapaStevesy@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·23 minutes agoThey’re not in the insect kingdom.
minus-squareiegod@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkarrow-up38·19 hours agoHe would have been an awful Neo. Bullet dodged for everyone.

minus-squareharrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up11·20 hours agoHonestly, the only good decision he’s made lately was to not appear in the Independence Day sequel.
minus-squareMinnesotaGoddam@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·14 hours agoi’m gonna be honest looking at will smith’s career the good decisions were ones other people made
minus-squareThe Picard Maneuver@piefed.worldOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up74·23 hours agoIt’s hard for me to imagine anyone else in any of the roles. They are all such perfect fits.
minus-squareFlat Pluto Society@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up49·19 hours agoGollum should’ve been played by Nicolas Cage. With no VFX or makeup.
minus-squarevaultdweller013@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up9·15 hours agoAlso Willem Dafoe with a bald cap could pull it off.

minus-squareKneeTitts@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·19 hours agoSC would have been awful as Gandalf to be honest
minus-squarefinallymadeanaccount@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·13 hours agoCould’ve been worse. Could’ve been Steven Segal.
minus-squareFlat Pluto Society@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up19·19 hours agoHe would’ve been awful. Connery was good at playing smarmy dickheads, but he was kind of ass any time he wasn’t playing a smarmy dickhead.
