Tragedy of the Commons is mythological, misanthropic misdirection from the real tragedy of Capitalism. Actual commons get shared equitably and conserved collaboratively by stewards who rely on them. The oceans get fished out when incentive for management of a commons gets displaced by competition and incentive for maximized profits.

Yes although I think the tragedy of the commons is absolutely a real thing and not mythological, but it does also get overstated and abused by capitalists to justify enclosures and privatisation.
The real misdirection is that while the logical conclusion should be “capitalism breaks sustainable stewardship and dramatically exacerbates the tragedy of the commons”, it gets shoehorned into “one guy should own the commons” which is batshit crazy ofc
