About a few weeks ago I noticed that someone has been posting exe and zipx as normal shows in nyaa. For example Slow horses and Reacher. They post it a day before the release date so Sonarr picks it up.

Been happening across many public trackers, and I’ve even seen it happen in Funfile. Best to filter out .lnk, .exe, and .zipx filetypes from your download client.
They post it a day before the release date so Sonarr picks it up.
That’s kinda funny actually. Sonarr is like “here you go!” and Jellyfin is like “wtf is this”
Even sonarr import would fail if its not a mkv file or something wont it?
The import fails, but the files has to be manually removed from Sonarr, it stops the download of the actual episodes.
Slow Horses on nyaa?
And Reacher? On Nyaa? That’s just sloppy. No wonder I haven’t noticed.
Using the arrs on (what I assume is) a public tracker takes bigger balls than I have. Or maybe I’m just too dumb lol. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to knuckle down and dive into the the trash guides to really understand how quality profiles work. I still don’t get it.
You don’t really need to mess with the quality profiles, the defaults are fine.
All they do is filter the resolution/bitrate. You set a download to look for HDTV-1080p and it’ll look for something up to or including that resolution.
Each quality profile also has a size picker with min/preferred/max setpoints, like 3.5GiB/h, so a one-hour video would be 3.5GiB. This is to filter something labeled as 1080p, but if it’s an hour long and only 20 MB it’s almost certainly a fake, which you want it to skip.
Maybe quality profiles isn’t the right way to describe what I was trying to monkey with. I can’t for the life of me get the arrs to consistently download season packs instead of individual episodes. It feels like half the time I add something I’ll get episodes 1-3,6,7-10 on shows that have already aired the whole season.
Oh yeah that’s different. Apparently it’s possible. Under custom formats, click the plus, name “season pack”, click the plus, click release type, name “season pack”, release type season pack, check required, save, save. Then go to quality profiles, open the one you use, and under custom formats, set the score for the one you created to 10. Done in two minutes.

Hell yeah, thanks for the knowledge, friend! I’ll have to give that a shot. Much appreciated!
it’s happened always, though not sure about its frequency. just filter it on your torrent client
