        As Lemmy’s resident weird animal lover, I definitely classify raccoons as rolly non-polies based on evidence provided.

          It seems rolly is a more temporary state though, such as the rolly non-poly depicted in the original post, which could later be non-rolly. Perhaps we need a measure of average roliness, or typical percentage of time spent in a rolly state (under normal circumstances in a typical habitat)

      I see this all the time, but isn’t mitochondria plural? One mitochondrion, two mitochondria, or did my teachers lie?

        The mitochondria, which there is only one in a cell, implies the existence of at least seven mitochondrions worldwide. I’m not sure how many there are, probably a lot, maybe then thirty?
