And then there are people who simply can’t comprehend if someone does not want to be in a picture. And then people who wouldn’t stop trying get pissy if you point out that you have a right to your own picture by law (in Germany, that is) and that I demand them to stop trying to photograph me.
The idea of being forgotten gives me solice.
My buddy, who I play xbox with, was talking about how long we’ve been friends. 9 yrs. His first description of himself to me as “a twink from Tennessee!”
He is my best friend besides my partner. I told her, cause he has hiv (undetectable) that there’s a chance he’ll die before me and when he does I will be hanging up my multi-player controller as he is my battle brother and it won’t feel right with out him.
Best moment was in bf6 when he was talking shit and got killed. And I was just losing it laughing and he turned and said “I do not like you at all.” In that moment I knew he loved me.

For real, take pictures with your friends while you can. I was friends with a guy throughout high school. But then he passed away suddenly at age 22. Only then did I realize we didn’t have a single picture of us together. It was a horrible gut-punch.
It seems like such a silly thing sometimes, but you never know what might happen, or what life might throw at you. You don’t want to end up without a picture when it’s too late to get one. :(
Honestly this is why I stopped teasing shutterbugs and selfie takers. Just realizing that (a) not all selfies are necessarily destined for social media, and (b) the regrettable alternative might be no pictures of friends with you in them, or even no pictures of those you care about, for long stretches of life that memory tends to eventually consolidate.
The shutterbug in the friend group might be the one reason you remember so well the time you spent with them many years later.
I just realized that I’ve never taken a picture with my best friend of 20 years.
