I think Jackman Wolverine is a very strong casting choice as evidenced by his success.
But I think Simmons as J. Jonah is one in a lifetime, peak casting.
Other people could play a comparably great Wolverine; I don’t think anyone is ever gonna top Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson
I always thought it was because they haven’t yet found a Massive Ackman.
Who they really need to find is a Comp Ackman. Comics wolvie is supposed to be something like 5’3", Hugh is over 6’ iirc.

I hate the infowars JJJ. I always thought about him as a fairly respectable journalist that just has it in for Spider-Man for some reason. Mostly cause his early career was very suspicious, and he assumes the worst.
But the crazy conspiracy JJJ… Naw, that’s just kinda lame.
Being convinced that Spider-Man is a menace is exactly the same mentality as the InfoWars insanity. That’s just a more developed JJJ.
I mean, Spider-Man is literally a masked vigilante with no chain of accountability. JJJ has legitimate concerns.

Sometimes, but that doesn’t erase the fact that he doesn’t report to anyone. What happens if his moral compass is compromised? As the reader, we get to see the kind of person Peter Parker is so we trust him. But to JJJ, he’s just a random person with superpowers taking the law into his own hands.
Nah. Alex Jones is just a fucking con artist, who also happens to be extremely mentally ill. He’s showed many indications over the years that he doesn’t believe half the shit he continues to promote.
