Almost all ghost sightings can be explained by bad electrical, squirrels or mental health.
I listened to an NPR story around Halloween about a young married couple in the early 1900s who moved into an old house.
Right away, the place is clearly haunted. Weird cold spots. Doors that are open that they know they had closed earlier. They hear footsteps sometimes in rooms they know are empty. They awake at night and are aware of malevolent human-shaped dark figures in their bedroom. It’s basically a laundry list of classic haunted house tropes.
They call in a priest, he says some prayers. Weird phenomena continue. House is still haunted.
They call in a gas guy. He fixes a leaky gas pipe. Symptoms go away. House is no longer haunted.
People should get CO detectors, especially if they’re burning fuel for heat inside the house in their boiler room.
I witnessed a “ghost sighting” before. Everyone in the room was so convinced it was a ghost.
The water heater made a noise.
Don’t forget gas leaks.
Sweet Jesus, those grammatical errors.
You needed an apostrophe in that title, just not where you placed it
Also “a
ntinder box”
What’s a “dont” and does it exist when not owned by a ghost?
Right, got it, Bad Electrical Squirrels with Mental Health issues.
You can’t just blame all of your problems on pikachu

This version of the image is just uncanny
Sez You!
If you have ever had squirrels or some other rodents in the walls, you’ll know…:X
Most ghost legends are probably from screwy electric wires from back in the day and you could get electicuted which to primitive idiots is ghosts killing you haha
When i was in ireland i saw that they have a bunch or haunted houses and pubs and stuff. I went to some of them on the way, just out of curiosity. And man, when you’re not superstitious, these places are boring as fuck.
I can feel a ghost.
The draft from the old ass windows?
These strange noises.
Old house.
Sometimes you hear people walk around.
There ARE people walking around.
But the beast of Craggy Island is real though.
TAPS would often diagnose plumbing and electrical issues if they were present, no? Part of their whole shindig was that they were at least trying to project a more emperical process on ghost-hunting. At least, that’s what I remember when watching them in middle school.
They did that in the beginning. But in the later seasons that went out the window and it became all “I feel a presence!” and stupid intra-team drama.
Wasn’t there one of these shows that was literally this. Like the second half of the show was them bringing in a code inspector to look over the place and show all the problems with the building leading to the “ghosts”?
Paranormal Home Inspectors! It was great but didn’t last very long. I’d love how they’d rationally explain why the homes made strange noises or had doors open by them selves, and the homeowner would still be like, “still think it’s ghosts.”
