I don’t understand how that is embarrassing. It’s a good American song.

It’s a song encouraging homeless people to use the YMCA for housing and a meal. It could be a subtle jab at the state of homelessness in America while pretending to celebrate American culture. Might be a stretch though.

It does sound like a stretch, but it is the kind of stretch I appreciate

Trump likes it and used to do the dance even though it is the gayest song ever. It’s literally telling gay men to go there to meet other gay men. It’s a master-level troll by Xi.

yes, but I think both Trump and Xi’s queerphobia is a little more complex than “gay stuff is embarrassing”. I am sceptical of this even being a troll

Edit: Added quotes. Also, of course China would be able to pull off a good troll, I just don’t think this is it.

China has had a shitload of returnees and they know how to do things now. Chinglish is all gone. Buses and trains run on time and nobody gets stabbed. Fake English teachers had their work permits declined for renewal. "MY NAME IS VIKTOR I AM FROM KANADA Because Chinese people can’t tell the difference between fair-skinned peoples. Used to have tons of Ukranians (before the war) and Belorussians and other weird countries teaching.

His wife called the song and little dance he does to it gay and embarassing or something along those lines. I’m uncertain if the Chinese were aware of this though.

Hey nerd did you know that every bit of data liberals point to to say “capitalism works and uplifts people from poverty” includes China and if you exclude china suddenly there have been no gains against poverty worldwide for the last, like, 40 years. In fact, weird! Income and wealth inequality have just gotten worse and worse everywhere else! I wonder why that is

996 is illegal, and was restricted mostly to large tech companies. Modern working hours in China are around 44-48 per week, varying year to year.

Again, the practice has been cracked down on, and was largely in bleeding edge tech companies. It isn’t the backbone of the Chinese economy, nor is it the norm.

Plenty of people do, but i failed to find any polls or statistics.

Its ridiculous to use a social media comments section as evidence, but there’s nothing better, so here you go.

Would you consider bus driving as bleeding edge tech?
