Yeah I was thinking this is a common complaint of a lot of the married women in my office. They always “have to give their spouses lists of things to do” rather than the adult spouses taking the initiative to participate in their household decisions and I’m like…I don’t want to say anything, because so many seemed resigned to this as normal and expected, but I’d rather die alone.
I feel like this is often a case where one partner cares more about something than the other and partners having very different opinions on what is still tolerable when it comes to for example cleaning stuff in the house. This is probably affected a lot by socialisation and that’s how you get that it’s almost always the man not doing some chores their wife gave them.
