People try to downplay the inevitability of the destruction of a supposed “free market” and the tendency towards monopoly.

Like any kind of plant that you’re growing, you want to bear fruit. There’s only so much fruit that even the most genetically engineered tree can produce.

So when I think of the state of affairs in the world of the arts, I think of natural structures and the strategy of production.

There’s about the same output but it appears that you have many choices. All those choices are watered down garbage.
