Not usually. For my sphere, you need field time to understand how things work. The academic smarts gives you the horsepower to the hardest problems, but it doesn’t replace the foundational skills that comprise 97% of the work

Now it’s time to get your hands dirty with just about everything that comes your way and build up that experience. You’re not meant to be a master of your field, you’re meant to be able to think intelligently about your subject matter
Within your area of expertise too, even. In my field, Ph.Ds are viewed as being overqualified with not enough field experience

Where did you get this picture of me?
Weewf. Why you got to call me out like that? I was reading at a grade 10 level in grade 5. Now I just post stupid memes on the internet.

4·2 months agoSwamp ass? Fine. It’s when it turns into full on monkey butt, where the salt crystals from your own ass sweat chafe your ass as you walk, that you need to fear
Sorry to hear your mom passed away. Thankfully mine is still with me.
That comeback is darker than a black lab in a cave.
I love a good mom roast. It’s almost a lost art these days, or at least it feels like that.
The only thing I’m annoyed about is the use of the semi colon

While you aren’t wrong about them being good to use in Ag, the scenario where you can do both is more limited.
You can’t drive a combine harvester under panels, to harvest the crop you just protected for instance, unless you place and design your panels carefully. It’s ok for pasture in that sheep and the like can get in and chow down and it provides shade though.
For a parking lot, it’s easier, as shown, but also fuck cars, they’re their own environmental disaster
They are using them on closed tailings facilities (mining) to add additional land use or gain benefit where there wasn’t really a good land use to begin with.
I think urban settings are where panels will ultimately shine, as you can concentrate them without taking up other land uses - it’s just an add on and doesn’t detract from existing or future uses like using them in an ag field would.
We are on (what feels like) our 8th spring thaw
it’s a pretty mild procedure. Nerve wracking, but the pain level overall is quite low. I was more stressed than anything.

As I’ve said before: if it’s a good meme, I’m posting it. That’s the extent of it. I’m not playing AI sleuth just to make a handful of people happy.
I generally dislike AI and AI images but it’s getting harder to tell. I don’t have the time or the desire to look deeper into memes I find.
Comments about AI slop, while valid, are really unoriginal. I invite you to recreate the meme for me of it bothers you that much. Be the change or something… I’ll happily post it with an non-ai image if you leave it in the comments. Otherwise, i’d appreciate it if you refrained from complaining about it due to the repetitive nature of the comments.

Bingo. It’s like this here too.
