Even the notification of rejection email is already kinda bs because when you never hear back, you know you’ve been rejected, and the email itself is a functional courtesy. Imagine a one dimensional spectrum where a point exists on one end. But that point has such cognitive dissonance and is surrounded by hate, fear, and ignorance to the point where “no, absolutely not. Being on that end of the spectrum isn’t real” and so whenever they see points that claim to be on that end, it’s a personal affront to them, and so beat them up. It’s actually super fucking dark what we humans put ourselves and others through.
