I really liked the microsoft option (this was work) to get a phone call and you would respond with a two digit number that it displayed on screen (so much better than it reading off a number to you). Unfortunately that is not ubiquitous. Honestly why not just not add apps to your phone. Its a nice cameria and it works as a phone. That is pretty much what mine is. I keep it off most of the time and use it as a phone and camera. Im not sure I would get another smartphone without a work reason though. Im not a big camera person but it is handy to have a decent enough one around.

I have been to parties (granted not many compared to my peers) around that time period so Im going to say yes.

I mean because of friends and family where that is my only contact information I doubt I will ever drop facebook. I just don’t interact with it much. its like when im not looking for work I barely interact with linkedin.

hey thought I would mention you may want to look at this. https://wanderersguide.app/ it is a character sheet thing with a lot of options and I only use the free version but the paid might have some virtual play options but im not all sure what. It has an option to make a character public and I know there have been some discord integrations so I assume anything could api call it and keep track of things.

funny thing is I own it but have not played it. pathfinder has had some awesome humble bundles.

peanut gallerying here but pathfinder is very good with encounter math. Still I could see doing an adventure path before diving into homebrew on a new system. I mentioned strength of thousands but a few have a lot of non combat or unique mechanic things. Like I played part of the assasination one and much of that is about investigation and planning and stealth. Its almost like oceans eleven kind of thing but with assasins. Downside is like the nicest a character can be is an honorable assasin. paizo has a bunch of free one shots. they put one out every year on rpg day. if you want to save a few bucks and just get a feel for encounter building you could play a few of those with your group before making a final group configuration type thing. people can try various classes and such while you get a feel for the rules.

mmmm. I mean a crit fail after going down is death. Its unlikely but could easily happen eventually to someone in the party over time. I honestly feel doubling the levels when downed or just tossing the mechanic in homebrew.

strength of thousands is an adventure path where its like the players are students like in harry potter. It does mean everyone has to have a magic archetype (choice of druid or wizard) but you can combine that with any class so you can still be a fighter or rogue or whatever and have a little magic from the archetype.

I only watch olympics as much as its easily available to see what I want. so we will see what is on youtube or streamed somewhere I can see it. if not I figure whatever. I mean its supposed to be this global good will thing so you would think everything would be available to watch from some website for the global population.

Not to mention the bears were uninvested in and perennial losers until the owners wanted to get various governments to buy a new stadium for them. So now that they are playing one location over another they found the ability to support the team they own but that will all be gone once they have convinced someplace to pay their bills. Heres the thing if your in the US. The federal government no longer follows its own laws when it comes to due process and the constitution or really law in general. Of course the problem with that is it goes way beyond piracy. But pointing to your piracy would likely play well with their base.

well us just having a alternative keeps it being in one place and then there are other things like slashdot or any other competitors. piefed does a good job of grouping things (kinda comics seems to be split in at least two topics). Personally I don’t want to be in one place with everyone on the planet as I don’t like many people. I want a place with somewhat like minded folks just like I would with a club or bar or whatever.

I don’t think you understand federation. Its like bars. with reddit you only have bars owned by one place. here you have all sorts of independent one. if you don’t fit in at community@instance for whatever reason, maybe the mods are powertripping. Well you can go to community@otherinstance and talk on the subject. Just like if the bouncers at some place won’t let you in you can find one that is more chill. Hey man sometimes just someone who hangs out at a place turns you off. Its great to have options.

The pathfinder beginners box is nice. Thing is 3 is real young. May have to help them a lot and might be good to have a gm character to give a little guidance to the party. Honestly when you use premades most of the heavy lifting is really on the gm, ie you. They just need to say I want to move to the creature or cast a spell or bonk em on the head. Hide the die rolls so you can fudge. If they like it going from there then pathfinder has a magic school campaign akin to harry potter but more in a more high fantasy setting.
