Librewolf upgraded to 158.0-1 today and stopped working on my Ubuntu 20.04 system.

I get an error:

/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.29’ not found

The highest supported version on my system is GLIBCXX_3.4.28

I can only use Librewolf now if I downgrade to version 156.0.1-1, even the Appimage has the same error.

        Ubuntu 20.04 reached end of life at 31 May 2025. Also, if it’s a bug or not is up to the LibreWolf developers to decide.

          The package should not install if the required dependencies are not satisfied. The package claims that all dependencies are satisfiable, it installs without error, yet it cannot run. That seems like a bug to me.

          And what’s your point if Ubuntu 20.04 is EOL according to Canonical? Plenty of devs still package working software for it.
