I used to work at a dog grooming place and I’ve seen some shit. Worked with a groomer who did the ear thing to her dogs. Seemed bad to me but I didn’t know at the time. She was like str8 up into dog eugenics too. Like, she said some crazy shit. American dog owners are fuckin nuts
it’s funny how they justify it for eg. LGDs that they crop ears so that predators won’t be able to grab onto them
like, you’ve bred that dog into a fluffy tank on four legs, can’t you breed small ears into them?
i get an element of inbreeding them to the point of severe health issues so they look cute to us, with a hint of declawing.
declawing is universally condemned so I’m afraid this one veers into the territory of “coaxed into a strawman”
