I always think of things/language that if it’s a insult it probably was made and used to insult minorities women disabled people trans people and just became wide spread to mean anything (like ugly, look up the ugly laws)
It’s also fascinating that so much in society is rooted in some kinda slavery/racism/sexism without nearly anybody knowing.
Also interesting that a LOT of things we have today, lot of our progress and technology was thought up by people of color, women, trans people, etc. but was of course erased as much as they can.
If you look up a word in English, I feel like eventually it will come up from some kinda hatred for another group. (Of course not all) But still it’s fascinating.

very much so and watching the chinese duplicate our behavior on rednote and weibo despite not having the same problems gives the impression that there’s only so much that even a revolutionary gov’t can do to change people’s hearts and minds.
