I don’t think I’ve ever smelled these before but I’ve heard people hate them.
As a kid, the route my bus took for school drove us past some of those trees both to and from home. I hated it so much I considered looking up how to poison and kill a tree, but then I remembered I can’t drive or get off the bus early
So that’s the name/species of the cum tree.
I wonder what it’s fruit tastes like.
Slimy yet satisfying
Small and hard with cyanide-laced seeds
Someone made ice cream out of the flowers and bark.
I thought these were just called cum trees. Visited a town where they had a row of these outside the tourist information office, which definitely a whole mood.
I love when people plant them in outdoor seating areas and next to luxury apartments. It punishes people for bad horticulture.
Gotta do some guerilla grafting and cut it low and graft a fruit bearing variety to it. Problem solved
it would seem like city gov’ts would simply prune off the fruit bearing branches
Probably assuming they know what they’re doing. I feel like if someone wore a High Vis vest and was messing with a tree, no one would question it.
