      As a kid, the route my bus took for school drove us past some of those trees both to and from home. I hated it so much I considered looking up how to poison and kill a tree, but then I remembered I can’t drive or get off the bus early

    I thought these were just called cum trees. Visited a town where they had a row of these outside the tourist information office, which definitely a whole mood.

    I love when people plant them in outdoor seating areas and next to luxury apartments. It punishes people for bad horticulture.
