    Try this one. The fact that the west backed it is pretty damning for it to not have been a genuine “pro-democracy” movement.

    Is it that damming? It’s not like the other side didn’t have heavy outside influence as well?

        Can we be more specific? Who did? Again, not disputing, but would like to understand.

          The US, EU, etc. had supported Banderite groups, of which there are a large number. The newly installed government, under Poroshenko, included Right Sector and Svoboda (far-right groups). Poroshenko began cozying up to the west, instated “decommunization,” and suppressed the Russian language.
